Welcome!

Welcome!

Welcome to the Hidden Lake Community meeting place. The purpose of this site is to open communication throughout our community. Let's share news and discuss issues here that pertain to our community and town. Let's keep our lovely Hidden Lake a nice place to live for all of us.

The blog was created by your neighbors, Mannish and me because we believe that our neighborhood needs more connection and an open forum for regular communication. We do hope you'll contribute to discussions and comment on blogs that cover important issues. We invite you to share photos, news and even recommend or request local services and businesses. We encourage you to check into the Hidden Lake Blog regularly so you know what is going on in your neighborhood.

All community members can comment on blogs, however, if you want to initiate blogs, please let me know because we will have to set you up with authorship. We would like to have a variety of bloggers so we please volunteer. It is a great way to reach out to the community from the comfort of your home.

If you need instruction on navegating our blog, just let us know and we'll arrange a tutorial meeting.

Please let your neighbors know about this blog. As of this writing we have only a few email addresses to send invitations, however, we are looking forward to reaching everyone in the community who has a computer.

Thank you for reading this first blog and I look forward to more exchanges..

Parking Issues

I'm wondering what the board will do next regarding the parking controversy. It seems the matter should be solved peacefully and without disrupting the no-problem areas or the beauty of our neighborhood. I would like them to tell us what they plan to do, rather than setting up another vote...ie spending money on lawyers, ballots and a site. It would be better to establish a mutually agreeable proposal with the community at large...many who spoke at the recent meeting, rather than have go through the expense of setting up a referendum which may not be fair. I mean..if 80% of the people who actually vote agree with a referendum..that leaves 20% who don't...and that 20% is probably more than the number of currently disgruntled residents. More offer to work with the board to solve this problem was refused. Why?

Neighbors...please stay on top of this! Let your neighbors know we do not want(nor do we want to pay for) having our streets white lined and numbered. Quite simply: let's look at the few really serious parking complaints and try to deal with them separately.
